This has been the year of natural hair oils. All of the major product lines are coming out with the best new natural oil product. I love that product lines are using more natural elements. How do you know which one is best suited for you? I feel that most of the oils are highly beneficial. It really comes down to consistency and cost. They are all conditioning but do you want to tame frizz, create shine with body, etc..
The first product to discuss is the new Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi oil.
Two of my favorite parts of the product are the organic bamboo and kendi oil. Kendi oil is from the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi. It has omegas that will smooth and repair. The most important part is how well it performs. I have been using it in the salon for about a month. I have also switched over my hair care regimen to the line. I truly love it. It can be used on many hair types. The best is that it fills that void of product for fine, frizzy hair. You can still get the body in the hair with the shine. I do recommend adding a mousse with it for that hair type. I even love it for the thick, stubbornly frizzy hair. The smell is great, nice and light.
For my fine, frizzy hair clients-stick to the Kendi Dry Oil Mist.
Spray lightly through damp hair and then add mousse at the roots for nice volume and shine. Spray the Kendi Dry Oil Mist lightly on dry hair for added shine.
For my thick, frizzy hair clients-Apply the Kendi Pure Treatment Oil to damp hair and round brush with a boar bristle brush. Spray the Dry Oil Mist on a dry finished style for extra shine.
If you find yourself in between, like myself, try a little oil on damp hair and then dry mist when finished.
