About the Artist

Rich in texture with hints of silver leaf, Chris Genth’s chic yet vintage painting style conveys a more contemporary antique feel. Her color palette is inspired by her admiration of nature, and her subject matter a result of her great love for animals.

Chris studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she received her B.F.A. in Illustration. In 2006, her colorful whimsical illustrations came to life in children’s book The Messy Monkey Tea Party published by Red Cygnet Press.

Currently, her paintings charm the décor and wall space of Buckhead store Home Studio Interiors as well as Soda Salon where Chris also extends her talent as a hairstylist.

Grateful for the gift of art God has given her, Chris is filled with joy when using her wonderful and versatile creativity. She relishes in capturing brief moments, which leave us in the blink of an eye, savoring and appreciating them by taking them to her canvas. Even more special to her then, is sharing her work with others.
